Good Composition:  Your photos should all be complete, no one wants to buy a photo that leads the eye off the print and asks the question where is the rest of it. 

 

Good Lighting:  Sometimes shooting at mid-day is unavoidable, but we don't want to see washed out/ faded colors in the photos represented on Snapshot Collective.

 

Stopping Power:  We want the photos dispalyed on Snapshot Collective to have that certain "it" factor, meaning that if someone is browsing through a bunch of photos and they come to one that is displayed on Snapshot Collective it will make them stop for a moment.

 

Maketability:  We love all good photos at Snapshot, but a photo of your nephew playing with toys is not very marketable. The photos you submit should have such an appeal to them that someone would be willing to purchase them for their wall.

 

Uniqueness:  We are looking for photos that you wouldn't neccessarily see on any old photo website.  That is why this is a curated collection.  We love the Amalfi Coast, but don't submit the standard midday shot from the same viewpoint that everyone has seen a million times.
