Droplets of water and reflections of the Space Needle. Seattle, WA
The space needle was built in 1962 when Seattle hosted the World’s Fair. It was designed by Edward E. Carlson and John Graham Jr. and is built to withstand winds up to 200 miles/hr or a 9.1 magnitude earthquake (the same as the 1700 Cascadia earthquake). The domed top has a restaurant that rotates one once every 47 minutes and is powered by only a 1.5hp motor.
